Five reasons to visit us on a rainy day

by | Feb 5, 2026

We’re looking forward to welcoming plenty of visitors over half term here on Ynys Môn and want to remind you why we’re a good place to visit in all weathers.

Soak up the atmosphere from under our pabell

Our new coffee shop ‘pabell’ (canopy) means you can stay dry whilst soaking up the panoramic views across to Eryri (Snowdonia). It sometimes feels like we see every season in one day here on the edge of the Menai Strait, but our sturdy canvas means you’ll stay nice and dry but still see the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty we’re surrounded by.

Take a tour of our Saltcote.

Learn how our Pure Sea Salt is made, inside our beautiful Welsh larch-clad building.  Let our expert guides lead you through the salt making process, and finish with a tutored tasting that shows why our products are so exceptional.

Treat yourself to a warming drink at Tide.

Warm up by sipping one of our barista style drinks. From Welsh Brew Tea to a Smoked Salt Flat White, there’s always something to keep your hands cosy, as well as our perfectly seasoned  cookies and cakes.

Stock up on supplies at our gift shop.

Our Saltcote is where we make our award-winning Welsh sea salt, and it also houses our contemporary, design-led gift shop. As well as selling all of our flavoured sea salts, we stock an ever-changing range of kitchenware, vintage gems, local foods, homeware and seaside gifts to take home with you.

It’s always warm and cosy in our 40C barrels.

A rainy day is arguably the perfect time for a Wild Môn Seaweed Bath, it’s our favourite weather to bathe in. There’s something special about the contrast between the chilly rain and the restorative warmth of our barrels. Soak up the magical minerals from the seaweed when our wintery skin needs a treat the most. You can even order a hot drink, straight to the side of your barrel.

4. Calms redness + skin irritation
Seaweed is naturally anti-inflammatory, thanks to compounds such as fucoidan and phlorotannins. These soothe skin flare-ups and support conditions like eczema, psoriasis and rosacea by reducing redness and irritation.
