TOUR OPERATORS

Group Tours may be booked for 8-20 people and are available Mon-Sun at 11am or 3pm. We would be delighted to welcome you.

Please place a booking on the right-hand side, select a date and time and fill in all the details. We require 20% non-refundable admin deposit to hold the booking. Full payment is required two weeks before the date of the tour otherwise all spaces will be released.

Terms & conditions

INTRODUCTION: 

Anglesey Sea Salt Co. Ty Halen, Brynsiencyn, Isle of Anglesey. LL61 6TQ Halen Mon Saltcote Tours (“the Tours”) take place at Halen Mon Saltcote, Anglesey Sea Salt Co. Ty Halen, Brynsiencyn, Isle of Anglesey. LL61 6TQ (the “Saltcote”), and are organised and managed by Anglesey Sea Salt Co. (“we” or “the Company”). Anglesey Sea Salt Co. Limited is a company incorporated in England & Wales (co reg. no. 3284469), with its registered office at Ty Halen, Brynsiencyn, Isle of Anglesey, Wales. LL61 6TQ U.K.

The following Terms and Conditions, as well as any information contained in the booking form, booking confirmation or tickets provided to you, apply to all Tour bookings or Tour Gift Vouchers to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.

By purchasing tickets for, or attending, a Tour, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to vary these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you.

ONLINE BOOKINGS AND WEBSITE: 

We will endeavour to ensure that the information displayed on the website www.halenmon.com is up to date and accurate. However, we cannot be held liable for any errors. Use of the website is subject to the Terms & Conditions available here.

GROUP BOOKINGS:

All group bookings are subject to a non-refundable 20% deposit to secure a group booking date. We do not accept any liability in the event that you do not pre-book a Tour and there are no places available for you to attend.

Tours are strictly limited in size. Any group booking of 20 people or more must be booked in advance through the web portal. If the number of visitors in a single group booking exceeds our maximum Tour size (20 people), the group will be split across a number of Tours (which may not run consecutively). 

Please note if a group booking does not fill an entire tour, there is the possibility of other guests joining the group. 

 

WALK-IN BOOKINGS: 

Tours need not be pre-booked; however, we recommend that reservations are made at busy times (especially weekends, bank holidays, and in peak season). We will endeavour to reserve some places on most Tours for walk-in visitors on a first come first served basis; however, we cannot guarantee that such places will be available at all times. We do not accept any liability in the event that you do not pre-book a Tour and there are no places available for you to attend.

PRICING AND ADMISSION POLICY: 

Tours are priced at five levels: (i) Adult: all visitors aged 18 years old or over. (ii) Student: concessionary discounted tickets for holders of a valid NUS student card who are aged 18 years old or over. Proof of age may be requested before the Tour. (iii) OAP: concessionary discounted tickets for people who are able to claim a basic state pension. (iv) Children: visitors between the age of 8 and 17. Proof of age may be requested before the Tour. (v) Islanders, any adult living on Ynys Mon. Children between the ages of 8 -17 are admitted but must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18 or over) at all times. 

All prices are shown inclusive of VAT.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: All Tours are subject to availability and may be altered or cancelled at any time. On arrival at the Saltcote, you must present your booking confirmation email or gift voucher as proof of payment prior to entry to the Saltcote.

We operate a Challenge 25 policy. Visitors may be subject to an age check on arrival at the Saltcote, so you should bring photo identification (“ID”) to the Saltcote. If we believe or suspect a visitor who wishes to consume alcohol is aged under 25, that visitor will be asked to produce photo ID. In the event that you are unable to produce valid photo ID, you will not be served alcohol as part of the Tour.

Any visitor aged between 8 and 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. You may be refused entry if you cannot provide proof of age if requested.

The date and time of your Tour will be clearly stated on your ticket or confirmation, and you must arrive in good time for your Tour. If you arrive after your designated Tour has commenced, we will endeavour to accommodate you on the next available Tour; however, demand may be high (especially in peak season) and we cannot guarantee that there will be spaces available.

Unfortunately, we are unable to refund tickets where no suitable alternative time is available.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to the Saltcote.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND AMENDMENTS: 

If we cancel your Tour, you will be entitled to a full refund for the purchase price.

We will use all reasonable endeavours to be open and operational during published opening hours, but we reserve the right to close the Saltcote at any time without notice. In the event of total closure of the Saltcote, any tickets issued for Tours on the day of closure will be exchanged or refunded, but we will not be liable to pay any other compensation.

On certain days, or at certain times, some parts of the Salt harvesting process may be closed (e.g. for cleaning, maintenance, or for other technical reasons), or the Saltcote may not be fully operational. In these circumstances Tickets will not be refunded and we will not be liable to pay any compensation..

If you wish to amend the date or time of any booking following the purchase of ticket(s), you should immediately contact us by phone or e-mail. We will endeavour to accommodate such requests, however we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so. No refund will be payable in the event that we are unable to accommodate your request.

 

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU

Our liability to you howsoever arising is strictly limited to the Tour ticket price. We are not responsible for any direct or indirect loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or for any indirect, special or consequential loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims which arise out of in connection with the Tour or these Terms and Conditions.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits in any way our liability: (i) for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) under section 2(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987; (iii) for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iv) for any other matter which cannot be excluded by law.

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these terms and conditions that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”). Our obligations under these terms and conditions shall be deemed to be suspended for the duration of the Force Majeure Event.

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The Saltcote is a controlled working environment, and you should exercise due care and attention on the Tour. You must comply at all times with any health and safety procedures or regulations which Saltcote staff may draw your attention. Failure to do so may result in you being removed from the Tour, in which circumstances no refund will be payable.

If the fire alarm sounds during your Tour the tour guide will direct you to the nearest exit.

 

VISITOR CONDUCT

While at the Saltcote visitors must comply with the following obligations:

(i) no smoking 

(ii) no pets or animals except for guide dogs and hearing dogs; and

(iii) no access to any area of the Saltcote other than areas designated for access by visitors.

We reserve the right to remove anyone from the Saltcote if their behaviour is considered likely to cause offence, to put staff or other visitors at risk or create a nuisance to other visitors or staff.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO CAPTURE

For safety reasons, all video recording is strictly prohibited within the Saltcote.

From time to time we or other authorised third parties may carry out photography or other recording at the Saltcote and any images or recordings may feature visitors. Visitors consent to the use of such images by us in connection with advertising, promotions or monitoring and acknowledge that the copyright in such images belongs to us and/or any authorised third party.

 

ACCESSIBILITY

All spaces within the Saltcote are fully accessible for regular tours.

If you have any requirements for special assistance please contact us in advance to ensure we can receive you and ensure you get the best possible experience.

 

VISUALLY IMPAIRED ASSISTANCE

Guide Dogs are welcome at the Saltcote.

There are hand rail extensions and contrasting floor textures throughout the Saltcote.

Please note that the lighting levels within some of the rooms are low. Please contact us in advance if you have any concerns about visibility or if you require assistance.

 

GENERAL

We reserve the right to refuse to process a transaction for any reason.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these terms and conditions and the remainder of the provision in question will not be affected

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
