Please arrive 15 mins before your start time, and bring with you:

  • swimwear
  • a refillable water bottle
  • a pair of flip flops/ croc-type  shoes ( there is wooden walkway of a few meters from the changing room to the seaweed baths)
  • a towel
  • sunhat, suncream and sunglasses if the forecast is bright
  • please do ensure you have read the disclaimer below before booking, we will ask every member of the party to sign a copy upon arrival.
Is the water changed between sessions?

We hope it goes without saying that each barrel is drained, cleaned and refilled between uses.

What are the benefits of seaweed bathing?

Seaweed bath benefits have been well-known for centuries. The mineral-dense oils are incredibly moisturising, making it brilliant for anti-ageing and especially for dry skin. The experience is totally natural, the ingredients being 100% seaweed and warm water – and it’s brilliant for relaxing sore muscles. A traditional, restorative ritual that will, quite simply, make you feel wonderful.

What facilities do you have on site?
  • To maximise the healing effects of the seaweed, we strongly suggest leaving the oil on your skin post-bath, where it will be readily absorbed. To this effect, there are no showers on site.
  • Please make sure you bring your own towel.
  • We have toilets near the baths in our Visitor Centre, as well as two lovely communal changing sheds. Please note in unusually busy periods you may need to share a changing shed with others. You are always welcome to change in the loo if preferred.
  • We do not recommend you bring valuables on site

How long does my bath last?
Each bath lasts 45 minutes – plenty of time to soak in some restoration and the incredible view. Please arrive 15 minutes before your booking time so we can settle you in and you can have the maximum amount of time in the barrel. Late arrival will unfortunately result in less time in the barrel.
What size are the baths?

Our barrels are 94cm high (on the inside) by  73cm  across the top of the barrel.

Will the bath go ahead in all-weathers?
Your dip will go ahead come rain or shine. Every weather brings something different to the experience, and our favourite time for a bath is in the rain!
How do I cancel my booking?
We take full payment to confirm your booking. You can cancel a booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled date, after that we can only change the name of the booking (ie if you’re ill on the day, you can send someone else in your place). No shows for any reason will not receive any refund.

If you would like to cancel your booking please navigate to the My Account page, select the order and click ‘cancel’. Alternatively please give us a ring on +44 (0) 1248 430871.

Can I bring drinks and snacks to the bathing area?
We will have a small selection of fridge-cold drinks available for purchase during your soak, as well as an area for refilling water bottles.

We kindly ask that you don’t consume any drinks or snacks purchased off-site other than water.

Do you have an access statement?

Accessing the wild seaweed barrels:

  • Flag stones set in grass guide guests to the changing huts and up an incline to the seaweed baths
  • The changing huts each have a raised floor and a wooden lip at the bottom of the door
  • There is a slight incline to access the flat area where the barrels are located
  • The barrels are approximately 120cm high with water up to approximately 100cm
  • There is a 3 step, 50cm wide wooden ladder to enter and exit the barrel and a wooden step that doubles as a seat inside the barrel, approximately 60cm down
  • There is a vertical hand rail adjacent to the barrel
