Building a brand-new Saltcote in the run up to the busiest time of the business year has its moments. When problems with costings and measurements coincide with Christmas orders there are times when you wonder why on earth you are doing it.
But then it also has rather exciting ones.
When you suddenly realise the building will outlast you.
When you sit down with your designer and start making a visitor tour that will engage all the senses.
When you remember that with a new building comes new jobs.
We went for a walk around the saltcote last week with our designer. Plastic covered where the windows will soon be. We poked a hole through the film to see the sea from the space that will be our office.
It’s beginning to feel excitingly real.
