Celebrate St David’s Day with this delicious take on a gin smash using Jin Môr. Peppery basil, refreshing lime, served over ice for the perfect aperitif. A bright cocktail as we edge closer to spring.
Ingredients
- 10- 12 basil leaves
- 60ml Jin Môr
- 30ml Lime juice
- ½ tsp agave (to taste)
- Ice
- lime/ basil to garnish
Method
- Chill your glass in the freezer.
- Muddle the basil leaves in a cocktail shaker or use a wooden spoon or even a pestle and mortar. The more muddling the more verdant the drink will be. Add the jin, the lime and the ice and shake well. Taste and add the the agave, ½ tsp or more. Shake again. Add ice to the chilled glass. Fine strain the cocktail into the glass. Garnish with a baby basil leaf and a slice of lime.
