Pure Sea Salt with Celery Seeds 100g
None of the other celery salts we tried quite hit the spot. So we made our own.
Rich, savoury celery seed, hand-mixed with our Pure Sea Salt for a classic seasoning a cut above the rest.
Easily adds flavour to:
- A free-range egg mayonnaise sandwich (with a few crisps for good measure)
- The ultimate Bloody Mary
- Oven dried cherry tomatoes stirred through pasta
- Mushrooms on toast with a little thyme and plenty of butter
The more adventurous among us should try:
- Finely slicing a fennel bulb on a mandolin and dressing with equal parts extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice. Finish with plenty of chopped parsley, celery salt and black pepper
- Frying a few finely diced shallots with a pinch of celery salt before stirring in 500g clams, a glass of dry sherry and plenty of finely chopped herbs for a simple supper for 2 with crusty bread.
- Roasting a few halved figs with a generous pinch of celery salt until jammy before topping with blue cheese and returning to the oven to melt. Combine with toasted walnuts and dressed salad leaves
- Quartering a bunch of beetroot and tossing generously with oil and celery salt. Roast the beetroot until tender and serve with flaked smoked mackerel and sharp sliced green apple
