Halen Môn and the Future Generations Act
At Halen Môn, we believe a successful business should make a positive contribution to the place it calls home.
Our approach closely reflects the ambitions of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015, with a focus on long-term prosperity, environmental responsibility and strong local communities.
We put these principles into practice by:
- Creating and protecting jobs on Anglesey
- Paying the Real Living Wage and investing in our team
- Reducing waste and working towards more sustainable packaging and sourcing
- Supporting local communities, suppliers and partners
- Continually measuring and improving our social and environmental impact as a certified B Corp
- Making long-term decisions that help protect the landscape and natural resources on which our business depends
Although the Act applies to public bodies rather than private businesses, its principles of long-term thinking, prevention, collaboration and sustainable development closely align with the way we work.
Our aim is simple: to grow responsibly while continuing to make a positive contribution to Anglesey and to Wales for generations to come.
