If you want to get away from daily life, and enjoy a sheltered harbour and crescent-shaped sandy bay, head for Cemaes Bay on Ynys Môn’s northern coastline. Some of the most beautiful beaches are up there, with ancient churches and plenty of wildlife to boot.
Near Brynsiencyn
There are a handful of cottages just outside Brynsiencyn, near Halen Môn, with outstanding panoramic views of the Menai Strait.
It's the perfect excuse to book in for a late afternoonWild Môn Seaweed Bath, and enjoy a few gin and tonics before walking home.
Beaumaris

Pretty Georgian streets, seafront and pier, castle, good restaurants, and views across the Menai Strait to the Eryri mountains. It has the best combination of romance and places to eat/drink, as well as things to wander to on foot. An ice cream a day is compulsory, whatever the season.
Around Newborough
Stay around Newborough, Dwyran or the southwest coast of the island for easy access to Newborough Forest, the huge famous beach and Llanddwyn island. This is the best choice for long walks, and getting lost in the incredible woodland. Llanddwyn is also associated with St Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers, for maximum romance. You’ll also be within easy reach of Halen Môn, and can book onto our relaxing Wild Seaweed Baths for maximum brownie points from any partner.
Menai Bridge / Porthaethwy

Less about beaches and more about the gem that is the Menai Strait, waterside views and plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance (even one with a Michelin star.) It makes a strong couples’ base if dinners and drinks are a big part of the trip, while still giving you quick access to the rest of Anglesey.
