A highlight in our festival calendar has always been Abergavenny Food Festival.

A celebratory weekend in a picturesque town with so many of our favourite chefs, producers and friends. It returns this year over the weekend of 15th – 16th September to celebrate its 20 year history. In true Abergavenny style, they will be playing host to the ideas, tastes and techniques at the forefront of developments in British food and farming. The line up for this year’s festival features talks, feasts, forages, masterclasses, workshops and chef demos, alongside outstanding producer markets showcasing the very best artisan produce from Wales and across the UK.

This year we are especially excited to be hosting a tasting centred around the nation’s favourite ingredient combination. Come and taste salted caramel like you have never tasted it before. Join us and our friend and renowned master chocolatier Marc Demarquette as we take you through a lesson in deliciousness. We’ll start with a tutored comparative sea salt tasting and an overview of what makes Halen Môn a superior seasoning. Then we’ll look at how adding this most magical of ingredients affects Marc’s indecently good caramels.

Excitingly, we have two tickets to give away to the festival and to our tasting. The prize includes:

– 2 x Weekend Wristbands
– 2 x tickets to Salt and Caramel: A Lesson in Deliciousness with Halen Môn

To be in with a chance of winning, comment on this instagram post what you think Salted Caramel goes best with, or send an email to hello@halenmon.com with your answer, name and address. Competition closes on 31st August.
