Where to buy local seafood in North Wales

by | Jun 30, 2022

A question we get asked again and again is: where can I buy seafood around Ynys Môn?’

The strong tidal currents that flow around the sandbanks of the Menai Strait bring in a steady supply of food for local fish, so we have plenty on our doorstep. As well as favourite restaurants like Dylan’s and The Lobster Pot, there are several places you can buy seafood to cook at home.

1. The Menai Seafood Company

These guys are local experts in selecting sustainable and responsibly-sourced fish. They are known for picking the best mussels and oysters from the Menai strait, and three different species of crab from the rocky coastline of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula.

Aside from supplying to local restaurants and deli’s, they have a number of locations where you can pick up your order from their van, or their shop at Port Penrhyn.
