Description

Laverbread is a Celtic delicacy which is produced from a particular type of seaweed very similar to the seaweed which is used by the Japanese – Nori. It is mainly found on the West Coast of the British Isles and Southern Ireland.

For this special product, the seaweed is rinsed and cooked until it becomes soft and paste-like. The result is something very nutritious and low in calories. It is rich in protein and contains iodine and vitamins A ,B, B2, C & D.

Traditionally eaten as part of a Welsh breakfast – either in scrambled eggs or oats, but equally scrumptious with cheese on toast, it truly is delicious.
