These little bowls are handmade by skilled artisans from sustainable mango wood. Each one is subtly different.
Mango wood is the byproduct of an already thriving industry: Mango fruit. Mango trees mature quickly; reaching 80-100 feet in around 15 years. Once the trees get too tall to easily harvest the fruit or stop bearing fruit altogether, they are harvested for timber and a new generation of trees is planted.
To care for your mango wood wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. To nourish and protect the natural wood rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth.
