Makes one

  • 30ml gin (we like Chase gin)
  • 30ml Martini Rosso
  • 30ml Campari
  • 5 drops smoked water
  • Orange for garnish

At this time of year, a lot of online food articles turn to trends. What’s going to be the avocado, quinoa or maple water of 2016? Are we over salted caramel, small-batch gins and smoked everything? Thankfully, Kelly Molloy, food buyer at our favourite, Harvey Nichols, thinks the answer to the latter question is no. Phew. You can read the full article here.

If you’re looking for something delicious to sip whilst you read, try HM Hamish’s Smoked Negroni. This play on a classic cocktail, said to have been created first in Florence, when a count tweaked his usual Americano (campari, sweet red vermouth and soda) by swapping the soda for gin, is famous for its bitter strength and deliciousness.
